What this site knows about you

Short version: this is a reading site. Nothing here asks for your Social Security number, your income or your credit. The only thing you can hand the site is a question, and the only personal detail it asks for is an email address you can leave blank. Here is everything the site collects and where it goes.

When you ask a question

The Ask DIOI form and the box on the live board take three things: your question, the two-letter state you are in, and an optional email address.

• Your question and state are public. They appear on the live board while they wait for an answer, and an answer may become a page on this site. That is why the form asks you to leave out names, addresses, account numbers and anything else that identifies you. If you include something like that, Kyle removes it before anything is published.
• Your email is never published. It goes into a private tracker Kyle uses to work the queue, and he only uses it to follow up on your question. It is not added to any mailing list.
• Software helps draft the answer. The question text is sent to Anthropic's Claude to write a first draft. Kyle reads, corrects and approves every answer before it goes live. The draft never sees your email.
• Kyle gets a phone notification that a question arrived. It carries the state and the first line of the question, nothing else.

When you read a page

Two measurement tools run on every page. Neither one knows your name.

• Plausible counts visits: which pages are read, roughly where visitors are from, and which links get clicked. It sets no cookies and stores no personal identifiers. It also records when someone uses a calculator or sends a question, but never what they typed.
• Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used: where people click, how far they scroll, and replays of sessions. This is a partnership with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising, and it uses first- and third-party cookies. Clarity masks what you type into forms. Kyle uses it to fix pages that confuse people; Microsoft may also use the data for its own purposes, including advertising, as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Both tools count each visit against your browser, not against you. This site does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals; blocking cookies in your browser will stop Clarity and will not affect anything else on the site.

What the server keeps

The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard, short-lived request logs: the page requested, the time, your browser, and your IP address. The question form counts submissions by IP address for a few minutes to stop floods, then forgets them. The calculators and the orders picker run in your browser and store nothing. The one thing the site writes to your browser is a flag when you close the "apply" bar so it stays closed for that tab.

When you leave the site

Every button that starts an application, registers for the free VA class, or plays the on-demand seminar goes to REV Mortgage's own sites, and their privacy policy takes over from there. The application link carries the name of the page you came from, so Kyle knows which article sent you and nothing more. Links to VA.gov, county assessors and other official sources are theirs.

What this site does not do

• Sell, rent or trade any information about you.
• Run advertising or share data with ad networks.
• Pull credit, take an application, or collect income, asset or Social Security information. That happens only on REV Mortgage's application, after you choose to go there.
• Knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18.

Changes

If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. There is no separate notice.
