Live

What people are asking right now.

A live board of VA questions. BAH questions get the official number on the spot; the rest get a loan officer's answer and, when it is worth keeping, a page of its own.

BAH questions answer instantly from the official table. Everything else goes to Kyle; the answer appears here and, if it is a good one, becomes a page. Nothing identifying is published.

On the board now

Can I buy a condo with a VA loan?

Yes, if the condominium project is VA-approved. VA maintains its own list of approved condo projects, separate from FHA's and from Fannie Mae's, and a unit in a project that is not on it cannot close with a VA loan until the project is submitted and approved. Many large communities are already approved; check the project before you write an offer, because approval takes time a seller may not give you.

Some questions need the file, not the board. Send the orders, the LES and the question and get the answer for your situation.
